Ukrop’s Announces Opening of Pharmacy at Roanoke Location
Richmond, VA. – August 23, 2007 – Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc. today announced the opening of Ukrop’s Pharmacy at its Ivy Market location on Monday, August 27 at 9am. Ukrop’s Ivy Market is located at 2331 Franklin Road at the corner of Franklin Road and Wonju Street. Regular pharmacy hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 9pm and Saturday from 9am – 7pm.
A complete healthcare destination, Ukrop’s Pharmacy carries a full line of prescription drugs, including the highest quality generics, and offers patient counseling. The Wellness Center, a private counseling area adjacent to the pharmacy will offer the following services to patients:
- Comprehensive immunization program
- Screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose
- Diabetes education
- Asthma education
- Medication Therapy Management
The newest Ukrop’s Pharmacy location will be managed by Steve Forbes. Most recently, Steve worked with CVS in Roanoke for 17 years. In addition, Kristin Surface will join Steve as Staff Pharmacist. Kristin comes to Ukrop’s from CVS in Lynchburg where she served as a pharmacist for 3 years.

To celebrate the opening of Ukrop’s Pharmacy in Roanoke, Ukrop’s will host an open house on Thursday, August 23 from 4-7pm. The open house will provide an opportunity to meet our pharmacists and to learn more about Ukrop’s Pharmacy. There will also be an opportunity to win great door prizes, including Ukrop’s Gift Cards, TV Ears and other great health related items.
As part of the grand opening celebration, Ukrop’s Pharmacy will offer a prescription transfer promotion exclusive to its Roanoke location:
• Transfer 1-2 prescriptions and receive a $10 Ukrop’s Gift Card
• Transfer 3-4 prescriptions and receive a $20 Ukrop’s Gift Card
• Transfer 5 or more prescriptions and receive a $30 Ukrop’s Gift Card
