The Deadline for Non-Profit Registration and Submitting Non-Profit Envelopes Ended Saturday June 14!

Ukrop's is pleased to be able to support local non-profit, charitable organizations in our community, and we look forward to our next Golden Gift program which will begin in February 2009. Thank you for the vital part you have had in making the 2008 program the success it has been. Checks to your groups will be mailed at the end of August 2008.

Program Overview
Since we created Ukrop's Golden Gift program in 1987, we have distributed $11.6 million to local non-profits. Based on both customer and non-profit feedback, we launched the program this year by combining only the best aspects of previous programs. It was easier than ever to participate and earn funds.

Ukrop's 2008 Golden Gift program donation will be $400,000! Golden Gift is a truly unique giving program because donations are made completely at the direction of Ukrop's Valued Customers. It's one of the many ways we honor our pledge to give back at least 10% of our pre-tax profits to the communities we serve.

How does Golden Gift work?
Any customer that has a valid Ukrop’s Valued Customer Card was able to participate without any additional registration!

Every time you shopped at Ukrop’s and used your UVC card between February 4th and March 29th, 2008, you earned one Golden Gift Point for every $1 spent. The more you shopped, the more you earned! Points were automatically calculated and tracked on your purchase receipts. In May, a Golden Gift Certificate detailing your household’s points was mailed to you. In order to donate your points you must have turned in your Golden Gift Certificate in to the participating non-profit of your choice prior to June 14. The more Golden Gift Points a participating non-profit collected, the greater their share of the $400,000 payout!

2008 Ukrop's Golden Gift Program Timeline
January 14	Non-profits can register at ukrops.com or in-store at Easy PC kiosks.
February 4	Golden Gift earning period begins Ukrop's Value Customers earn one Golden Gift Point for every $1 spent at Ukrop's. Points are tracked on register receipts.
March 29	Golden Gift earning period ends.
May	Golden Gift Certificates that detail point balances accumulated during the earning period are mailed to eligible Ukrop's Valued Customers. Envelopes used by participating non-profits for collecting and submitting Golden Gift Certificates become available for in-store pick up , by the non-profits, at any Ukrop's Customer Service counter.
June 14	Deadline for participating non-profits to submit envelopes containing the Golden Gift certificates they have collected from Ukrop's Valued customers. All envelopes must be submitted in-store through Ukrop's customer Service counter. This deadline will not be extended. Envelopes received after June 14 will not be included in the Golden Gift payout calculation. No registration will be accepted after this date.
June 16 - August 15	Ukrop's processes Golden Gift certificate from participating non-profits.
August 29	Golden Gift payout checks mailed by Ukrop's to participating non-profits.
