At Ukrop's,
we're committed to the communities we serve. Ukrop's gives 10% of
its pre-tax profits to organizations that make Central Virginia
a better place for all of us. We help organizations through the following programs:
Golden Gift
Since its inception in 1987, Ukrop’s has donated $11.6 million to local non-profits through the Golden Gift program. It is a truly unique giving program because donations are made completely at the direction of Ukrop’s Valued Customers. In 2008, the program’s earning period will run from February 4 through March 29. Each participating non-profit can earn up to 2% of the total $400,000 payout. Click here for more details.
Gift
Cards
Gift cards ($25 maximum) will be donated for door prizes, raffle
prizes, auctions and other such purposes.
Also,
non-profit organizations can purchase Ukrop's gift cards at a 10%
discount if they will be given to a needy family.
Community
Advertising
Advertising may be provided in programs, yearbooks and other
media for non-profit organizations.
Event
Sponsorships
Sponsorships will be considered for events to benefit local
non-profit organizations. However, sponsorships will not be considered
for non-profit groups which receive annual contributions or community
advertising support.
10%
Discount
A 10% discount is available on purchases of most food or products
to be used by any non-profit group or organization.
Vacation
Bible School Refreshments
Ukrop's has a tradition of providing free Vacation Bible School
refreshments upon request. More information.
Ukrop's
Community Nutrition Seminars and Healthfairs
Ukrop's has several nutrition seminars presented by our Whole Health
and Nutrition group. These seminars are available to non-profit
organizations with 25 members or more. For more information about

Community
Room
We have a great space for your group to meet! Our Community Room,
available at selected stores, accommodates up to 20 people. And
remember we can even help plan your refreshments.
Sidewalk Vending (non-solicitation)
We are glad to help non-profit, charitable and service organizations in their fund-raising efforts by allowing them to use our sidewalk space near the entrance of our stores.

Tours
Educational store tours are available at all Ukrop's locations for
daycare and school groups. Contact your local store for more information,
or to arrange a tour.
